BOX‑BOX is a compact architectural insert designed to bring clarity and purpose to a home shaped by shifting daily rhythms. Inspired by the logic of traditional Tansu cabinetry—nested compartments, concealed functions, and the quiet intelligence of joinery—the project creates a flexible space that adapts to work, rest, and everything in between. It is a small intervention that reorganizes the life around it.

Two boxes, one intention

The design is built around two nested volumes. The outer box establishes a calm, grounded boundary within the larger room, while the inner box holds the functional elements of the space: workspace, storage, lighting, and the small rituals of daily use. Together, they create a gradient from open to enclosed, public to private, active to quiet. The architecture doesn’t demand attention; it simply supports the day.

Craft as structure
